IPM IMG Marine Group turns Palma International Boat Show into networking hub for yachting industry

Palma International Boat Show has once again confirmed its status as a key meeting point for the international yachting industry, gathering together owners, captains and professionals in the capital of Mallorca. Within this setting, IPM IMG Marine Group stepped beyond the exhibition floor, creating a platform for real connection, content and opportunities for the yachting industry.

The group showcased all its facilities – STP Shipyard Palma, Marina Ibiza, Marina Port Ibiza, Marina Port de Mallorca, Marina Port Mahón, Marina Port Valencia, Marina Port Andratx, Varadero Valencia and Varadero Ibiza – and presented an end-to-end model that combines marina management and specialised refit and repair infrastructure.

Central to this presence was Marina Port de Mallorca, which played host to the Superyacht New Build Hub, one of the flagship spaces at Palma International Boat Show. Located on Pontoon E, this hub brought together shipyards, design studios, brokers and owners in a setting designed to encourage project development and connections within the new-build segment.

The presence of both new-builds and yachts for sale offered a broader perspective of the market, uniting different industry profiles in one space and fostering more direct dialogue.

Meanwhile, the group added to the event's content with a presentation at its stand from marine biologist and National Geographic explorer Manu San Félix, who discussed a Posidonia seagrass restoration project in the Mediterranean, linking the yachting industry with the active conservation of the marine environment.

The group's schedule opened on 28 and 29 April at the Balearic Superyacht Forum, where Isabel Martínez spoke in the session "From Infrastructure to Strategic Destination", which highlighted the role of marinas as active players in the industry's transformation.

The group also took part in some of the week's key industry gatherings, including the Captains' Dinner hosted by Estela Shipping, widely recognised as one of the most important networking platforms for captains and industry professionals.

Meanwhile, STP Shipyard Palma sponsored Nautiparty, one of the most anticipated events on the Palma Superyacht Village social calendar, where industry professionals met up in a laid-back setting to network and exchange ideas.
Thanks to all these activities, IPM IMG Marine Group has defined its place in the industry through a model that brings together end-to-end services, environmental care and meaningful connections across the industry, anchoring its position as one of the Mediterranean's leading yachting groups.
